Pilot/Assistant Harbour Master Vacancy

Montrose Port Authority (MPA) stands as one of Scotland’s most forward-thinking trust ports, strategically positioned on the East Coast and serving as a key player in the nation’s transport, logistics and energy infrastructure. Recognised as the largest chain and anchor port globally, MPA provides crucial support to energy and general cargo markets, with operations extending across the North Sea and beyond.

As a leading hub for renewable energy, MPA has emerged as a major Operations & Maintenance base for transformative offshore wind initiatives. The port proudly supports Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm Seagreen, and the forthcoming Inch Cape project, advancing Scotland’s green energy goals.

True to its trust port status, Montrose Port is deeply committed to community engagement, sustainability, and regional economic development. Profits are reinvested into infrastructure enhancements and community projects, ensuring that the benefits of its operations are locally reinvested to support future generations. This championing of sustainable development along with its aim to be Scotland’s first carbon neutral port, highlights MPA’s essential role as an economic driver for the local and national economy.

  • Previous pilotage experience/PEC is advantageous
  • Work in a team and be a strong team player

  • Excellent pension scheme
  • Roster offers large amount of time off
  • Re-location package
